Australia's leading business news weekly, the  Business  Review  Weekly "BRW" rated Benthic Geotech Australia's seventh fastest growing entrepreneurial company. Compiled annually, the "FAST 100" award presents the fastest 100 growing listed and private owned businesses.

In the 2004/2005 year Benthic Geotech's turnover surged by 219%. With a full-time staff of 7 people and contract personnel totalling another 15 regular employees,  Chief Executive Peter Williamson is part way through the company's 5 year growth plan which targets significant work in offshore geotechnics with oil majors.

Williamson commented that  he was "delighted to be ranked 7th in this year's "Fast 100 awards" further remarking that "the company is in a solid position to take advantage of unprecedented growth in offshore activity".

BRW Fast 100 Criteria
Companies are ranked according to average annual revenue growth in the three years to June 30, 2005 (using a fourth year as a base). They must have 200 or fewer full-time employees. Companies must have had turnover of more than $250,000 in 2001-02. The survey includes listed and privately owned companies. Private companies must have entry forms signed by an external accountant or auditor.
